14 iPhone Tools Chiropractors can Use to Tap Into the Smartphone Industry

On Monday, June 7, the 2010 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference will kick off at 10 a.m. (PST) in traditional fashion with a keynote address presented by CEO Steve Jobs. And, you can bet the farm that I’ll be tuned in like a hawk.

Even though most chiropractors may be oblivious to this one week conference, the technologies that are born at 1 Infinite Loop to take stage at WWDC are always revolutionary and typically turn industries upside down.

I can assure you that this coming Monday will be no exception. From the unveiling of Apple’s 4th-generation iPhone to the release of OS 4, as Steve Jobs stated in his response to a late night email from a customer, “You won’t be disappointed.”

What is WWDC?

For those that need additional background information, the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is the premier technical conference for developers innovating with Apple technologies.

Over 1,000 Apple engineers will be at Moscone West to present advanced coding and development techniques that aim to show attendees how to enhance the capabilities of their applications with the revolutionary technologies in iPhone OS and Mac OS X.

Also, over 5,000 of the world’s best and brightest Apple developers come together for the week-long event which provides the opportunity for people to hear about the latest advancements in iPhone OS and Mac OS X through practical examples that they can apply directly to their app development.

Why is WWDC important to chiropractors?

Because smartphones are the way of the future. And, unless you’ve been living under a rock, Apple’s iPhone is leading the way.

So, the more you embrace and understand this new technology, the easier it’ll be to not only incorporate it into your practice procedures but also within your inbound marketing strategies.

Why should chiropractors care?

Well, besides Apple’s App Store being a big deal for business, chiropractors can start carving out a niche for chiropractic right within their store. It’s just another way to put chiropractors and chiropractic in front of the masses.

Plus, even if the app is offered for free, the chiropractors that take this serious enough will be the ones that are rewarded.

But, the key is to be innovative. Instead of trying to explain what I’m talking about, watch the following presentation:

By being cognizant of what’s coming down the pike that has the potential to change markets, disrupt industries, and make billions for companies can give chiropractors the edge. It’s what takes companies, whether small or large, to the next level.

How can chiropractors get started?

One way is by creating your own iPhone app for your chiropractic practice.

Now I realize the majority of chiropractors that read this would never venture down that road but if you’re the more adventurous type then check out the following guides:

If do-it-yourself isn’t your cup of tea, then I recommend the following websites that can make your dreams of tapping into the smartphone industry a reality:

1. Create Free iPhone Apps
2. SwebApps
3. My App Builder
4. BuildAnApp
5. Kanchoo
6. eBook App Maker
7. AppBreeder
8. Seattle Clouds
9. AppMakr
10. App Incubator
11. Mobile Roadie

There’s an App for that!

There’s a principle in life that states information without implementation leads to depression, frustration, and failure.

So, my question for chiropractors today is what will you do with it? Will you grab the information by the horns and innovate your practice to new levels? Or, will you sit on the sidelines and watch colleagues pass you by?

If chiropractors would see the potential smartphones harness, I’m confident app creation for the iPhone would be high on their practice building’s to-do list and the infamous phrase “There’s an app for that!” would ring true within the chiropractic profession.

Question: Have you already created an iPhone app for your chiropractic practice? Would you like to show it off to other chiropractors?

If so, leave its name and App Store link in the {comments} section below.
