dr-herbertWelcome to our #followfriday series!

If you’re new to the site, please read the introductory post for this series. It’ll get you up-to-speed on why this series exists and its purpose.

As usual, allow me to take a moment to thank each one of you that have responded and shown interest in this series. Its success depends entirely on you and your fellow colleagues.

So, if you know a colleague that you think would be interested in being featured, please have them contact me. They can simply direct message me through Twitter or fill out the contact form for this blog.

As soon as I receive their request, I’ll respond back asking for the information they’d like featured.

This week it is my pleasure to introduce to you our #followfriday chiropractor, Dr. Jonathan Herbert.

Dr. Herbert states, “At our center, we use multiple tools to help patients with chronic and complex health problems. We thrive on the challenges that some doctors may hesitate to treat. We use a variety of assessments including our Functional Neurology Exam, Laboratory Testing, and our Chiropractic Exam to find where the patient is not functioning optimally. These findings lead us to appropriate treatments including Retained Primitive Reflex Integration, Clinical Nutrition, Interactive Metronome Training, Cranial Therapies, and Chiropractic care. This approach enables us to help multiple body systems work together to maximize our patient’s health.”

According to Dr. Herbert, “Our method allows us to help patients with autistic spectrum disorders, attention deficits, brain injuries, behavioral challenges, and digestive, hormonal, or immune dysfunctions of any age. All of our treatments are non-drug interventions and natural.”

Before graduating from Logan College of Chiropractic, Dr. Herbert completed over 300 hours of training in Applied Kinesiology. He has studied under Dr. Bert Hanicke, Dr. Katharine Conable, and Dr. Allan Zatkin. He also studied pediatric crainopathy under Dr. Suzanne Seekins and Internal Health and Diagnosis under Dr. Howard Loomis Jr.

He’s a member of the International College of Applied Kinesiology and is a certified Interactive Metronome Performance Trainer.

Outside of the office, he enjoys the outdoors. During summer, he enjoys the beach while running, playing volleyball, and rollerblading. When away from the beach, he enjoys working out, camping, fishing, skiing, and playing on a co-ed softball team.

After many years of education, he’s settled back into casual reading — recently finishing Sidney Portier’s The Measure of a Man and starting The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch.

He’s also a part of the Support Group for Parents of Autistic Children at the Westside Family YMCA.
