How to Create Professional Videos for Your Chiropractic Practice

post36-animotoHave you ever wondered how you could communicate the chiropractic message in a more efficient and professional manner?

How about your weekly health talks or orientation classes? Wouldn’t it be great to be able to distribute them in both DVD-quality as well as online video?

How about spicing up your website or blog with video?

Or, causing an email newsletter to go viral simply through a few minutes of video footage embedded within the email?

Well, now you can — through an ingenious website called Animoto.

If you watched the promo video I created for my About page, then you witnessed first-hand the quality of Animoto’s service.

Animoto claims that you can create beautiful videos from your images in minutes. And, quite frankly, they deliver.

Think of Animoto as PowerPoint on steriods.

Case in point, the promo video I created was done in under 10 minutes. I simply signed up for an account, uploaded my images, selected the music, inserted the appropriate text, paid the annual $30 personal subscription fee and clicked Create. It was that easy.

I was then able to upload it to YouTube, download it as a Quicktime file, burn it to DVD, email it to friends and family, tweet it on Twitter, send it to Facebook and embed it within this blog — all from one easy-to-use online interface.

Animoto will allow you to create a 30 second video for free. However, if you need more time, you’ll have to pay either $3.00 per video or $30 for a year’s subscription.

I opted for the latter. $30 is nothing considering the cost of comparable software that’ll do the same thing with a much steeper learning curve.

They also offer a commercial subscription for $249 a year. If you don’t want to smack down $249, they’ll let you sign up for a 3-month trial for $99.

As would be expected, there are many more benefits to the commercial subscription. One benefit is the ability to replace Animoto branding with yours.

For example, when you watch my promo video, you’ll notice an Animoto watermark embedded throughout the clip in conjunction with the advertised Animoto web address at the end of the clip.

With a commercial subscription, the watermarked Animoto logo is replaced with a Powered by Animoto logo that only shows up at the very conclusion of the video.

Another great feature for both personal and commercial subscriptions is the ability to create videos on-the-go using an iPhone. This is accomplished through their free app which is available for download through Apple’s iTunes App Store.

Once downloaded, launch the Animoto app, tap on the Create Video button, select images from your iPhone photo library, pick out a song and tap on the Create Video button once more. It’ll then render the video, allow you to play it back and share it immediately right from your iPhone.

How cool is that? Very!

Remember, first impressions are everything. So, why not start with quality video?
