7 Social Media Books Every Chiropractor Should Read

7-booksIn the spirit of Black Friday, I’ve compiled a list of seven must read social media books for chiropractors. However, instead of reinventing the wheel, I figured I’d leave the reviews to Amazon.com’s Editorial Review panel.

Before you read the list, please understand that it doesn’t matter if you’re just getting started in social media or consider yourself a seasoned pro, I guarantee that you’ll greatly benefit from each one of these books.

They’ll not only educate and inform but will equip you with the latest information regarding the use of social media and content marketing.

Since content marketing is the new currency of business, it’ll serve you well to not only study these books but put their strategies into action.

So, without further ado, here’s the seven social media books every chiropractor should read:

Why Thanksgiving Should be a Daily Attitude Instead of a Yearly Holiday

Thanksgiving was never meant to be shut up in a single day.
– Robert Caspar Lintner

thanksgivingI love Thanksgiving! For me, it’s a lazy day spent with family, food and fellowship. Matter of fact, it’s provided me with some of my most memorable family times — times that I cherish and think about often.

Even though the day’s fun, it’s also spent reflecting on countless blessings. Just the sheer numbers amaze me proving once again how good our gracious Lord is.

But, the spirit of Thanksgiving shouldn’t be bound to one day. It should be incorporated within every day no matter how small or insignificant the blessings may seem.

How Chiropractors Can Lead America’s Wellness Revolution

color pillsTwo weekends ago, I had the privilege to speak to a large group of chiropractors in St. Louis about blogs and social media. The purpose was to educate and inform chiropractors on how to use blogs and social media networks to grow their practices.

The presentation was geared toward beginning bloggers and fairly basic in concept. Nevertheless, I was still surprised at how few chiropractors understood what I was talking about.

Simple terms that have been around the Internet for at least ten years were causing multiple and sporadic cerebral subluxations!

To build a case for the use of blogs and social media, I always start my presentations with ample statistics.

For example, take a look at these stats regarding Facebook:

twitterinThis past Monday, November 9, Reid Hoffman, Co-founder of LinkedIn, and Biz Stone, Co-founder of Twitter, announced the ability to update your LinkedIn status through Twitter.

For many, this is great news!

Because it liberates the end-user from having to login to their LinkedIn profile just to make status updates. The benefits from a business-to-customer as well as business-to-business standpoint are significant simply due to the fact that Twitter is one of the most utilized social media tools available today.

To watch the announcement and gain insight on how to activate your LinkedIn account via Twitter’s API, watch the following video:

One sector that’s driving App development is social media. Case in point, look how many Apps are available just for social media networking. It’s not only mind-boggling but proof positive that social media is here to stay.

As a chiropractic entrepreneur, it’s your job to be cognizant of change. As new ideals come down the pike, you should have enough executive intelligence to either implement them or move on toward the next big thing.

Using Screencast and PowerPoint to Grow Your Chiropractic Practice

Movies_256x256Recently I was asked by several chiropractors if I would be willing to write a blog post on how to create a custom chiropractic marketing video using screen capture and PowerPoint presentation software. So, instead of writing a text-based tutorial, I thought I’d highlight several companies and their software through my own screencast.

But, before we get started, let’s take a look at what Wikipedia has to say about screencast and screencasting:

A Beginner’s Guide to Blogging for the Practicing Chiropractor

ebook-imageIn two weeks, I’ll be speaking to a fairly large group of chiropractors on the importance of blogging and social media to grow their practices. In preparation, I’ve put together a short ebook that lays the foundation for beginning bloggers.

If you already have a blog, then this ebook isn’t going to be earth-shattering. Nevertheless, I’d encourage you to TWEET this post, bookmark it on various social bookmarking sites and spread the word to other colleagues who aren’t blogging to go ahead and grab their FREE copy.
