Wow! I cannot believe how long it’s been since I’ve featured a chiropractor for my #FollowFriday series from Twitter. If you’re not familiar with this series, you can bring yourself up-to-speed by reading New Series will Feature Chiropractors from Twitter for #FollowFriday.
If you’re just joining us and would like to participate in the series, simply direct message me through Twitter or fill out the contact form for this blog. As soon as I receive your request, I’ll respond back asking for the information you’d like featured.
Without further ado, this week’s featured chiropractor is James Morosky!
James Morosky is a sixth trimester student in the Doctor of Chiropractic program at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois.
Originally from Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, James earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Pennsylvania State University. He also minored in psychology. The musculoskeletal and nervous systems were always interesting to him, and chiropractic was a natural fit.
Also, being more medically-minded aided in the decision to attend National University. With much of his academic career focused on neuropsychology and other biological physiology, the flow into chiropractic was much more natural.
Also, his involvement in undergraduate research prepared him not only for evidence based practice that is vital for any physician’s success, but also valuable to him on his website www.LifeOfAChiro.com.
“I chose chiropractic medicine, at National specifically, because I appreciate an approach to healthcare that doesn’t rely on drugs and yet doesn’t avoid them. Likewise, I also appreciated National because it doesn’t rely exclusively on adjustments for healthcare. National teaches many different modalities of care, and works to build bridges to understand other branches of medical care. I felt this would better prepare me for my future career as a physician. I have developed a profound interest in integrative medicine since I feel that health needs to be achieved from all angles,”
says James.
“It’s also what a strive to achieve with my blog. I want to be bring together all types of patients and all types of doctors and introduce chiropractic and other CAM therapies and showcase what is involved in chiropractic education and its benefits.”
Also at the top of this list is patient advocacy through education on various topics, most notably his “Disease of the Week” series and his recent “World of Hurt” miniseries on various types of headaches. He also has a weekly free newsletter on Wednesdays where he discusses health news and events that are beneficial to his readers.
“It’s my belief that if the patient can understand what’s happening in relation to their health, then the patient and doctor can work together to improve the health of the patient,”
says James.
His site isn’t merely for patients, but also for various doctors, new and old. Not just to introduce the concept of chiropractic, but he has been coordinating with Dr. Bruce Hodges for his in-depth marketing tactics that go beyond blogging to market one’s self.
He has also posted his experiences of visiting chiropractic offices (one example can be seen here.
He always has an open invitation to everyone out there to share their personal stories, specialties, experience, etc. To get in touch with him go to his contact page.
James’ life is a busy one. Not only is he a full-time student, he’s a full-time husband to his wife, Lisa Morosky. They’ve been married for nearly two years.
Lisa is a fulltime blogger and virtual assistant, running several sites such as www.LisaMorosky.com, www.VAforBloggers.com, and the soon-to-be-launched www.SpendLessOnLife.com. With her encouragement and knowledge, James has been able to navigate the blogosphere confidently and make his blog an effective marketing tool for himself.
In addition, James is in the work-study program on campus and works part-time in the Office of the Registrar. He is also a member of the Motion Palpation Club, the Student American Chiropractic Association, and participates in ChiroVoice, a lobbying arm of the American Chiropractic Association.
Originally hailing from Western Pennsylvania, he’s naturally a Steelers fan (naturally saddened by the end of this season, luckily his Nittany Lions had a successful season).
When he graduates, James hopes to practice in Ohio, Colorado, Pennsylvania or any of the states with a broad scope of practice where he can work well in an integrative medical setting where he can consult with MDs, DOs, acupuncturists, and massage therapists as a part of patient care. James also would like to pursue continuing education in internal medicine or neurology.
If you’d like to connect with James Morosky, he can be found online at www.LifeOfAChiro.com.
He’s also active on the following social media networks:
In closing, make sure you spend some time connecting with soon-to-be Dr. Morosky. Go ahead and check him out on the aforementioned social media networks. Likewise, let him know how much you appreciate him for taking the time to get to know him better. Besides, isn’t that what this series is all about?
Have a GREAT weekend!

Been waiting for this one for awhile.
I think James is a great asset to our profession. He really gets blogging and using social media to educate and inform others about their health. And he is still only in Chiropractic School!
I connected with him awhile back on Twitter and Facebook and really enjoy reading his blog http://www.LifeOfAChiro.com and highly recommend subscribing to it and also connecting with him on his social media sites.
