3 Reasons Why Chiropractors Should Use Social Media

email

Social Media ChiropractorSocial media marketing is one of the fastest and most effective business strategies available.

Facebook, Foursquare, Twitter and LinkedIn all give businesses the perfect platform to showcase their services to thousands of potential and current clients at one time.

One of the greatest things about social media marketing is that it works for every type of industry, including chiropractic services.

As a chiropractor, you may not know the “ins and outs” of social media marketing — but that’s ok!

Becoming a social media chiropractor is easier and quicker than most doctors realize. With the right effective training, you can rapidly expand your client base and business opportunities with just a few extra minutes per day.

Start Now!

The time to learn these skills is right now, while this type of marketing is on the cutting edge.

Matter of fact, there are several benefits that your chiropractic business will see almost immediately after using a few social media marketing techniques.

Below are the top three benefits that social media marketing can have for your chiropractic business.

1. Entice New Patients

Social media is the most effective way to entice new patients into your business.

With the Internet now available on almost all cell phones, this marketing strategy is more important than ever. As more and more people turn to the Internet to find their necessary services, it is imperative that your business be the one they turn to.

This is where social media marketing is very important because it connects you to those already looking for chiropractic services. Nothing could be easier than branding your business to the very people in need of your services.

Social media marketing can make this happen, by allowing you to target your marketing to the right clientele.

2. Keep Patients Informed

Social media marketing, specifically blogging, gives chiropractors a platform to share their expertise and professional skills with the world.

Blogging provides a great opportunity to share with your current and potential patients all the services that your business offers. You can use this tactic to stress why they should choose your business.

Proper social media marketing will also pull people into your business by answering small questions about chiropractic care.

By providing useful information about your services, it gives your business credibility and a person is more likely to use your services.

A little bit of your time now can turn into huge rewards for your business later.

3. Maintain Current Patients

It is just as important to maintain current patients as it is to draw in new clients.

Social media has a unique way of helping businesses perform both of these tasks within one marketing strategy.

As you create blog articles and posts on different social media websites, both new and current clients will be attracted to it, which works to keep your business fresh in people’s minds.

The title of a blog or post alone can also be used to instantly remind the reader of the benefits that your services provide. This type of marketing would be similar to sending mailers out to all of your current clients, except it is quicker and less expensive.

Having your business on social media websites also gives your current clients easy access to all of your contact information.

What’s the takeaway?

Chiropractic Internet marketing through the use of social media websites can help any chiropractor not just maintain but build their client base.

In today’s world of technology, it is impossible to stay competitive without the use of social media marketing. Learning how to create and deliver blogs and posts that can attract readers may mean the difference between a successful business and one that is not.

Dr. Macnamara, I’d also like to add that the underlying goal with social media, for a professional like a Chiropractor, probably should be to generate referrals from those connections. I’m no doctor, but social media is still in some ways a shotgun approach unless you have hundreds of hours to spend online.

The challenge with social media, even today, is that people aren’t always shouting “i’m looking for a chiropractor” online. And, although we have monitoring capability today, social mentions for chiropractic needs may not be in an area local to a doctor.

If you view every connection online as someone who could refer a person in need of a chiropractor, then you might say and do those things that would encourage a referral down the line. Your thoughts?

    Henry

    • I agree, Henry. Referrals are the best type of patient for any practitioner.

And, when chiropractors use the right tools to focus their efforts locally, social media becomes a more powerful medium when promoting their practice and services.

It’s all part of the LoSo and local mobile connection.

      Thanks for your input!
