About

by Dr. Patrick MacNamara

Welcome to Next Generation Chiropractor — a chiropractic blog devoted to helping chiropractors market their practices through the Internet.

My name is Dr. Patrick MacNamara. I am a chiropractor, professional consultant, social media advocate and web expert in design and development.

After graduating from Logan College of Chiropractic in December of 1998, I founded, owned and operated MacNamara Chiropractic, PA, until February of 2005.

Professional Consulting for Chiropractors

After selling the practice, I’ve concentrated entirely on professional consulting, coaching and mentoring within the chiropractic profession. My specialties include blog consulting, social media consulting, social media marketing, and social media training.

Web Design, Development, & Hosting for Chiropractors

Outside of my consulting responsibilities, I run a web development, design, and hosting company for chiropractors called Chiropractic Blog Designs.

Chiropractic Internet Marketing

In October 2008, I founded Developing Others. Today, it provides chiropractic marketing resources for the practicing chiropractor.

Chiropractic Blogger

In January 2009, I established Next Generation Chiropractor to train chiropractors on how to effectively use social media to grow their practices. Its primary voice is distributed through this blog which was launched on April 1, 2009.

On August 6, 2010, Next Generation Chiropractor received a 2010 Top 20 Chiropractor Award from Blogging Awards.

Social Media Training

In January 2010, I launched BloggingChiros.com. Blogging Chiros is a members-only Interactive Learning Environment designed to train chiropractors on how to use blogs and social media networking to grow profitable practices. In essence, it takes the information provided at Next Generation Chiropractor to a whole new level of training.

Web 2.0

Times are changing and so is the environment we practice in. Many doctors are frustrated with their marketing efforts and simply aren’t seeing substantial returns on their marketing dollars.

One of the main reasons is because the market has moved to the internet. For example, the majority of people use Google to find what they’re looking for instead of traditional yellow pages and print media.

What this means is that if you and your practice aren’t online, then you’re not being seen.

But, don’t worry! That’s what I’m here for — to show you the steps necessary to become a successful player in this new market.

So, sit back, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the site.

And, if there is anything I can help you with, please don’t hesitate to contact me either through Twitter or by filling out our contact form.

Thanks for visiting!
