Chiropractic Apps: iPhone & Android Apps for Chiropractors

Chiropractic iPhone & Android AppsIf you’re an Apple aficionado, you’re probably already aware of Apple’s big iPhone event that’s scheduled for tomorrow. If you have no clue on what I’m talking about, then see Brett Molina’s Report: Apple event slated for Oct. 4 that was featured in USA Today.

Just like previous events, Apple will hit a home run by unveiling new products and services that’ll transform the way we do business and enjoy life. It’s the former that I’d like to focus on today — transforming the way chiropractors do business.

Over 50% of those that connect to the Internet today are doing so via a mobile device. Local mobile search volume is growing exponentially at 50% per year. 80% of searchers research online before purchasing in a 10-20 mile radius. And, the #1 access method for local information is the mobile browser with 20.7 million users per month.

With so many prospects turning to mobile devices, I have to wonder how many chiropractors are capitalizing on this phenomenon or just simply letting business pass them by.

Is YOUR chiropractic practice ready?

Ez Texting Makes Mass Text Messaging a Snap for Chiropractors

Ez textingStaying true to my word for 2011, let’s continue our focus on mobile marketing for chiropractors. And, since we’re at the ground floor of mobile marketing, let’s look at one area that can truly change how you market and communicate with your chiropractic patients.

What area is that?

Mass text messaging.

As Mashable reported, “Text messaging is one of the most popular communication methods in the world. The cost of a cell phone and SMS plan compared to that of a computer and a broadband connection has made texting extremely popular in developing countries, and “unlimited messaging” plans have made it the communication medium of choice for teens everywhere (beating face-to-face conversation and e-mail in popularity).”

They also provided a nice infographic associated with their story on The Rise of Text Messaging. I uploaded it to my Posterous account for quick access.

But, as a chiropractor, how can you streamline the process? How can you effortlessly communicate with patients? How can you manage so many phone numbers? And, how expensive is it to play the game?

3 Infographics That Support Linking Mobile To Local

MobileIf you recall, on December 15, 2010, I announced in my post titled Why Thinking Mobile to Market Local is Smart for Chiropractors that I’d be shifting some of my focus away from just blogging and social networking to local mobile marketing. My reason — chiropractic mobile marketing is the link to effective local marketing.

Here’s a recap of the equation I suggested you follow:

A Strong Web Presence + Locally-targeted Mobile Marketing Campaigns + Consistent Offline Ads that are Linked to Your Web Presence = Effective Local Marketing

The Growth of Mobile: Stats and Figures That Will Shock You

During my continual research and study, I ran across another exceptional video that summarizes the staggering growth of mobile.

The good news is that it isn’t over an hour long! ;-)

Matter of fact, it’s only around three minutes in duration but provides some great stats on why small business owners should start thinking mobile for local marketing.

In addition, I’ve provided a few charts and graphs to help drive home the point. So, before you click that play button, take a look at the following charts:

Eric Schmidt at Mobile World Congress

To help expand your concepts and shift your paradigms, today I’d like to share with you Google’s vision of the mobile future as presented by Eric Schmidt at the 2010 Mobile World Congress.

Yes, there’s not a great deal of text content included with today’s post but I figured this presentation will give you more than enough information to see where things are heading.

Listen up! If you want to dominate locally, you must start building a strong web presence via a blog, optimize it for mobile users, and link it locally through services like Google Places.

In short order, I’ll show you how to incorporate the latter part of the aforementioned so that you can start connecting the dots. In the interim, sit back and enjoy the presenation …

Genbook Hassle-Free Online Chiropractic Appointment Scheduling

Genbook ChiropractorsBack in August 2010, I wrote about an online appointment scheduling company called Snirk. Even though it was in beta, I wanted to expose chiropractors to Snirk’s concepts and shift their paradigms to more online tools opposed to antiquated ones.

Since then, I’ve been on the look out for the very best online scheduling software available to us chiropractors today. And, believe it or not, I think I’ve found it.

It’s called Genbook.

As their website states, Genbook provides sophisticated yet easy-to-use online appointment scheduling software for small businesses to help grow their revenues by turning website visitors into confirmed appointments.

Why Thinking Mobile to Market Local Is Smart For Chiropractors

Mobile SmartphonesRegardless if you’re new to Next Generation Chiropractor or have been with me since day one, my purpose has never changed — I’m incessantly bent on providing valuable content that trains chiropractors on how to effectively use blogs and social media networks to grow their chiropractic practices.

For some, the information has been overwhelming. They understand the importance of having a presence online but are too intimidated with the process.

For others, the information has been emphatically embraced and implemented. Three quick examples that come to mind are Dr. Jon P. Heins of Belvidere, New Jersey, Dr. Eduard Burt of San Francisco, California, and Dr. Todd Sullivan of Springfield, Virginia. To use the words of Gary Vaynerchuk, they’re crushing it!

But, as many are aware, technology changes at a blistering pace. Case in point, no matter when you buy a new tech gadget, the sad fact remains that it’s outdated the moment you walk out of the store!

Snirk Can Manage Chiropractors’ Appointment Schedules Online

Any successful businessperson will tell you that their success is found in the system that runs their business. Without it, not only would they fail but chaos would ensue.

In the world of chiropractic, systems are a dime a dozen. I’ve seen systems that take chiropractors to seven-figure incomes and systems that don’t even cover personal expenses let alone business overhead.

Nevertheless, having an efficient system is paramount in today’s economy. There are just too many variables that can adversely affect your bottom line if you’re not paying attention. A proper system provides a solid foundation to grow any chiropractic practice into profitability. If you’d like to know my choice of system, please contact me and I’d be happy to share.

As more chiropractors turn to advanced technologies to run and manage their practices, one area I see many still struggle with is their appointment calendar. It doesn’t matter if they’ve purchased the most expensive office management software or downloaded it for free, chiropractic patients continue to miss their appointments while chiropractors struggle with follow-up.

12 iPhone Apps I Can’t Live Without

Ever since the original iPhone made its debut on June 29, 2007, I’ve been mesmerized by its capabilities and ease of use. Matter of fact, since I’m an early adopter with Apple products, I was one of the fortunate few that had “iPhone in hand” the day it was released.

As time has progressed, my purchase pattern for subsequent generations has remained the same by snagging the 3G on July 11, 2008, the 3GS on June 19, 2009, and the iPhone 4 on June 24, 2010.

Fortunately for me, I always qualify for discounted upgrades since I have five AT&T mobile phone lines. So, as each new iPhone is released, I’m able to take advantage of its lower price while family members enjoy the next-to-new hand-me downs.

One of the things I love about the iPhone is its seamless integration with Mac OS X. Applications that I use daily on my 27″ iMac can now be accessed on-the-go without having to lug around my 13″ MacBook Pro.

Even though I have 88 applications installed on my iPhone 4, there are twelve that I absolutely can’t live without. They are as follows:
