Can Your Chiropractic Twitter Campaign Do This?

TwitterI just stumbled upon a brilliant Twitter campaign by TurkCell, a Turkish telecom company, who was trying to gain brand awareness as well as get the word out quickly about one of their new products.

The campaign was ran entirely on Twitter using the hashtag #Tuckcelltweet and revolved around a series of games that used Post-it ® Notes.

The entire campaign generated a staggering 56,000 tweets over 3 days and reached approximately 3.6 million people via Twitter.

As I watched the following video, I couldn’t help to wonder — what campaigns could chiropractors create that’d generate similar results? All it’d take is some serious brainstorming mixed with a ton of creativity.

Are you up for the challenge?

Chiro Tweets Puts Twitter On Auto-Pilot

Chiropractic TweetsIn the last issue of My Tuesday Tip, I asked chiropractors how successfully they were managing their social media presence. Surprisingly, an overwhelming majority replied that they weren’t.

I then asked if a service was available to manage their social media stream for them, how interested would they be to utilize it. Once again, a large number said they’d be very interested.

So, to help meet the wants, needs, and desires of my email subscribers, I launched Chiro Tweets this past Monday.

What is Chiro Tweets?

How To Automate Your Chiropractic Tweets

Twitter RobotIt’s been quite sometime since I’ve published a Screencast Saturdays video. But today I decided to feature one on how I use MarketMeSuite 3 to automate my Twitter timelines among the majority of my Twitter accounts.

Before you jump into today’s video, make sure you familiarize yourself on how MarketMeSuite 3 will change Internet marketing for chiropractors. It’ll give you a good primer for what I’m focusing on today.

For many chiropractors, Twitter is as foreign as practicing allopathic medicine. Add on top of that the confusion chiropractors face when trying to figure out how to automate, streamline, and make efficient use of their time when using this powerful social media network.

How to Sign Your Chiropractic Practice Up With Twitter

Twitter Sign UpIt’s hard to believe but many chiropractors still haven’t taken the plunge in the Twitter stream yet. I’m sure their reasons range as broad as the number of chiropractic techniques.

Regardless, Twitter is an incredibly powerful marketing tool. And, once embraced, can provide ample traffic to one’s chiropractic website if setup and used correctly.

But, for those new to social media, first understand that social media networks are tools to be used. Blogs and websites are assets to be owned and grown.

So, in regard to Twitter, Wikipedia gives the following summary:

Twitter Basics for Chiropractors: It’s Not About You!

TwitterI opened my first Twitter account on May 1, 2008. In Twitter years, that’s a long time ago!

But, as of this writing, I now have 12 Twitter accounts that serve various purposes.

For example, I have one for this blog, @NextGenChiro, one for my web design company, @ChiroWebDesigns, one for my membership site for beginning chiropractic bloggers, @BloggingChiros, et cetera.

Now I know what some of you are thinking … where do I find time to sit around and manage twelve Twitter accounts on any given day?

Truth be known, I don’t.

What Twitter’s Redesign Means for Chiropractors

Yesterday Twitter announced that it would start introducing a new web interface for all users over the next few weeks. For those that missed it, allow me to walk you through the significance of their change and how chiropractors can use it to their advantage.

For starters, every chiropractor should be using Twitter. It’s not only free, ranks #10 on Alexa’s topsites list, but also is an important cog in the inbound marketing wheel.

Remember, social media sites are tools to be used whereas a chiropractic blog is an asset to be owned and grown. By using them correctly, chiropractors can increase traffic to their sites without relying solely on organic search.

If you’re needing more help with the above concept, then I encourage you to read How to Use Twitter to Build a Chiropractic Audience and 10 Twitter Tips that will Transform Your Chiropractic Tweets.

If you’re already using Twitter and are up-to-speed with how to use it, let’s examine the new changes that are coming down the pike.

How to Install Twitter’s New Tweet Button on Your Chiropractic Blog

One of the best ways to generate traffic back to your chiropractic blog is through Twitter. By automatically feeding new blog posts into Twitter each time they’re published, followers can stay up-to-date when fresh content is available.

Additionally, tools like HootSuite and MarketMeTweet make it easy to automate tweets on a predetermined schedule. By doing so, chiropractors can concentrate on treating patients instead of updating their status.

Personally, I use both. But, if I had to choose between the two, I’d go with MarketMeTweet. It’s intuitive, easy to use, and allows me to brand myself instead of someone else.

5 Top Twitter Clients for Chiropractors

On May 1, 2008, I opened my very first Twitter account. Matter of fact, as of this post, I’ve been tweeting for 2 years, 1 month, 3 days, 11 hours, 3 minutes, and 34 seconds. But, who’s counting, right? ;-)

Today I own and manage eight separate Twitter accounts. The majority of them are exclusive to chiropractors and have been instrumental in helping me distribute my message.

Matter of fact, outside of organic search, Twitter brings me more traffic to Next Generation Chiropractor than any other source.

Because of this, I pay special attention to the conversations that develop on Twitter on a daily basis.

If You Printed Twitter

The following infographic was first published by Creative Cloud of Cartridge Save on January 19, 2010. The image was so impressive that Mashable decided to republish it on the same day as well.

So, just for fun and in case you missed it, I decided to republish it as well for your enjoyment and amazement. You can thank the kind folks over at Cartridge Save for providing the images for reproduction.

Furthermore, when you consider that this is just one social media network, it truly is mind-boggling!

Can you imagine what Facebook would look like?

Besides the infographic, I’ve also included the stats that Mashable pointed out in their post. They are extremely intriguing:
