Staying true to my word for 2011, let’s continue our focus on mobile marketing for chiropractors. And, since we’re at the ground floor of mobile marketing, let’s look at one area that can truly change how you market and communicate with your chiropractic patients.
What area is that?
Mass text messaging.
As Mashable reported, “Text messaging is one of the most popular communication methods in the world. The cost of a cell phone and SMS plan compared to that of a computer and a broadband connection has made texting extremely popular in developing countries, and “unlimited messaging” plans have made it the communication medium of choice for teens everywhere (beating face-to-face conversation and e-mail in popularity).”
They also provided a nice infographic associated with their story on The Rise of Text Messaging. I uploaded it to my Posterous account for quick access.
But, as a chiropractor, how can you streamline the process? How can you effortlessly communicate with patients? How can you manage so many phone numbers? And, how expensive is it to play the game?

I have been texting patients reminders for their appointments from my database/front desk program. However, it seems expensive – 11 cents per text. They will not allow me to use other servers such as sms country, which are much cheaper. I read your article about ez texting, but I was still wondering if I can somehow send my appts to ez texting quickly and easily to allow me to send reminder sms through them. I’m sure if it’s database, i could export a spreadsheet of the day, and load that into ez texting program with times as a field and send that, but I thought I would check first.
I’m not sure but it sounds like a fairly easy process. My suggestion is to send the same question to EZ Texting’s support. They should be able to help you out from there.
