How to Automate the Subscription Process of Your Chiropractic Blog

Nevertheless, success begs for efficiency. Let’s face it, being an entrepreneur and business owner is demanding enough for you to worry about remedial tasks that can simply be automated.

So, one way you can bring efficiency to your blog is by automating the subscription process both for your visitors and yourself.

There are several ways you can accomplish this goal. However, one of the most widely used methods is through a FREE service provided by FeedBurner.com.

As their site states, “FeedBurner is the leading provider of media distribution and audience engagement services for blogs and RSS feeds. Our Web-based tools help bloggers, podcasters and commercial publishers promote, deliver and profit from their content on the Web.”

FeedBurner was recently acquired by Google. So, to use FeedBurner, all you need is an account from Google.

If you don’t have an account, go ahead and get one today. It’s free!

Plus, the additional features and tools offered by Google will aid in growing your blog and presence online. In future posts, we’ll dive deeper into what those features and tools are.

Once you sign up with Google, go back to FeedBurner and log in using your Google account information. Once logged in, enter the domain name or URL for your blog and allow FeedBurner to “burn” you a “feed link” to your site.

The “feed link” can then be copied and pasted into your existing WordPress theme via a simple RSS sidebar widget. Once the sidebar is published, you should see a link on the main page of your blog for RSS subscriptions. (The aforementioned can also be performed to produce a subscription field via email.)

Now, when a visitor stops by your site, he or she can subscribe to your feed through the links you’ve provided.

To test how all of this works, simply subscribe to this site’s RSS feed and watch how clicking on the appropriate link automatically takes you through the subscription process.
