How to Easily Organize Your Chiropractic Digital Life With Dropbox

As promised, I’ve created another screencast introducing the amazing service called Dropbox.

In today’s fast-paced world, efficiency is key to maximizing profits within your chiropractic business. Gone are the days of saving files to floppy disks and even flash drives. With services like Dropbox, you simply add files you’d like to share between computers to the cloud. Once added, you can link as many computers to your account so that no matter where you are you can quickly access the content.

Also, if you’d like to share the files or folder with someone else, it’s as easy as entering the person’s email address. Another plus is that they don’t even have to be an account holder with Dropbox to access the information.

The benefits and features are extensive. So, without writing a lengthy post on the subject, I created the following screencast.

After watching, if you don’t have an account, simply sign up for their free trial or click on the Dropbox image to the right of this post (under the header Dr. MacNamara recommends … )

Today’s screencast was created with Screenflow.

  1. Great timing Dr. Patrick MacNamara ! I have been looking at several other options for getting access to the office’s computers from my lap top and also so the office manger can access them too. They all look rather complicated but this looks like exactly what we need.

  2. Hi Dr. MacNamara

Thanks for the heads up on this amazing service, have downloaded for our clinic as we have 2 computers, plus one in an outside office – so this will make collaboration, backup and syncing remarkably easy.
I had been toying with http://www.syncplicity.com but found it too complicated and bloated. Plus I like the Public folder function that you can share files as a URL.

  3. Joseph Doughty, DC says:

Thanks for the share Dr. MacNamara. I’ve been using google docs sparingly. It has been okay, but nothing like this. I’m going to give this a go and see how it works.

  4. Dr. Patrick MacNamara says:

Dr. Doughty :: Dropbox is simply amazing and keeps getting better with each free upgrade. Make sure you also try it out on your mobile device. It takes the headache out of lugging a laptop around on-the-go!

  5. Joseph Doughty, DC says:

Ran across this gem for shared files, but more for group collaboration.

  6. Dr. Patrick MacNamara says:

Dr. Doughty :: Thanks for sharing! It’s definitely a nice alternative to Dropbox.

  7. Neil Ingram says:

    Hi.

Dropbox is a great service and I use it extensively for my work. BUT be careful as to the files you upload as unless something has recently changed, Dropbox is not HIPAA compliant.
