If you’re using Facebook to promote and market your chiropractic practice, then I recommend that you watch today’s screencast. I cover the importance of having a landing page as well as how to take advantage of the banner section of your chiropractic page.
For a more in-depth discussion on landing pages, I encourage you to read and watch Why a Chiropractic Facebook Page is So Powerful. It dives deeper into the concept of landing pages and why you should have a “call-to-action” in order to stimulate “likes” to your page.
For more information on Facebook banners, check out 10 Creative Uses of the New Facebook Profile. It’ll give you some idea on how creative you can get with the banner section of your page.
You can also quickly create a unique Facebook banner by using the Facebook Banner Generator app for the iPhone and iPad. I tried it out and it works seamlessly with Facebook directly through both my iPhone and iPad.
In closing, remember that the FBML app has been deprecated and replaced by the new iFrame standard. So, if you don’t know how to code in iFrame, I recommend that you either hire a programmer to set things up for you or check out DoubleYourLikes.com. They’ve got a nifty iFrame generator that you can use that’ll build and install professionally-looking landing pages directly to your Facebook Page with just a few clicks of the mouse.
If you don’t like DoubleYourLikes.com, then check out FBMaxed. It’s another insanely powerful way to not only build quality landing pages but also entire websites right inside of Facebook.
Enjoy the video!

Question: So, what did you think? Are you using a landing page on your Facebook Page? What about the banner area? What creative ways are you using it?

Well that certainly cleared up that mystery. I was wondering where all of these really awesome banners were coming from. I think they are very eye catching and worth the my time lurking through facebook and finding all of these jewels. I really like it when people get creative with their social network platforms.
Glad I could help clear up the mystery!
Yeah, the new iFrame platform sure has pushed the envelope on what can be done with one’s Facebook Page. I, for one, am enjoying it!
Great use of the banner and the blurred info until you “like feature” is great too.
Nifty trick, huh? I really like it and it’s been extremely beneficial toward capturing “likes”.
I am looking at http://iframes.wildfireapp.com , Involver.com and Static iFrame tabs: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=190322544333196&sk=app_190322544333196 to create a similar effect. Did you use the iFrame WP plugin to create yours?
Next month we can all learn a new language as Facebook will change from iFrames to something else only months after they established FBML.
The ever changing landscape of tech can be frustrating, but it keeps the developers in business.
No, I used DoubleYourLikes.com which is iFrame compliant with their new iFrame generator.
Another GREAT ONE that I just joined is FBMaxed. Their FB X Tab is insane. You can see it in use over at Blogging Chiros Facebook Page.
Hi, Dr MacNamara!
I have just recently been exposed to the wonderful information you provide for us chiropractors. Thank you for being such an innovator and leading light as far as this topic is concerned.
I would be most grateful if you would let me have the templates that you use on your FB page. Also where could I go to find out how to install a banner on my FB page.
Regards,
Kevin Lentin, Cape Town, S. Africa
Dr. Lentin,
Thanks for stopping by the site! I appreciate your kind words and am glad that you’re finding value in the information you’ve read at Next Generation Chiropractor.
Be watching for an email with the links associated with the templates you requested.
Also, for banner creation, I recommend the following:
1. Custom Banner
2. Profiles Banner Creator
Hope all is well in South Africa!
Any of these FREE?? Seems like 47 a month is quite expensive for this… Great ideas though…
I just depends on when you joined any of the above services.
For example, I paid a one-time, lifetime membership of $47 to DoubleYourLikes.com. But, I got in on the ground floor. Obviously, as these type of products take off, the owners increase the price.
Regarding if I know of any that are free, check out HyperArts. They provide tons of resources and tutorials on how to use iFrames.
