How to Share Files Via Drag And Drop Using Fyels

FyelsAre you looking for a simple way to share files across Twitter? If so, I highly recommend that you checkout Fyels.

Based out of Brisbane, Australia, Fyels is a drag and drop sharing site, meaning that all you have to do to share a file is drop it in your browser window.

Although the concept of drag and drop sharing isn’t by any means new, the interface for Fyles is without a doubt one of the simplest. Fyels has virtually no restrictions and works out of the box.

According to the founder, Dominic Holland, “This service is designed for extremely fast and absolutely easy file-sharing. Whether it becomes a much loved public product that needs monetization is to be seen, but I know that for my purposes this site is absolutely perfect, and if it pans out to be that way for others then great!”

To use Fyels, go to Fyels.com , drag and drop a file onto the area that states, “drag and drop a file here (up to 9 GB)”, and then copy and paste the shortened URL they provide for easy sharing.

If you want to personalize Fyels, all you need to do is insert your Twitter name in front of the fyels.com domain name. So, for Next Generation Chiropractor, I’d enter ‘nextgenchiro.fyels.com‘ in the URL field.

Or, simpler still, click on the lock icon located at the bottom-left side of their home page.

Once done, you’ll be taken to the OAuth app inside of Twitter so that you can authorize Fyels’ application to be linked with your Twitter account.

Next, visit your personalized site and you should see the Fyels app floating over your background.

Here’s what mine looks like:

I can now upload anything I want to this page which can then be shared via its unique URL. Pretty sweet, huh?

  1. I’ve used TransferBigFiles.com at http://www.transferbigfiles.com/. This allows you to send files via email and it is very easy to use, but the free version limits you to only 1GB.

Fyels seems to blow this out of the water. Thanks for the info.
