RockMelt Rocks As A Social Media Browser

RockMeltOn any given day, I typically have three web browsers opened on my Mac’s desktop — Safari, FireFox, and Chrome.

My favorite out of the three is Safari. I love its intuitive interface, its stability, lightening fast downloads, HTML5 capabilities, and, of course, many of the growing list of installable extensions.

So, you may wonder, why do I have FireFox and Chrome opened as well if I’m so happy with Safari.

Well, as a web designer and developer, I like to test my creations inside different browsers so that I can see what others are seeing.

But, for social web browsing, I’ve always turned to Flock. Matter of fact, I wrote a post about Flock last year titled How to Organize and Manage Your Social Media World.

Flock led the pack when it came to easily connecting social media networks into one’s browser. Flock’s ability to update a rather impressive list of the most popular networks on-the-fly was also convenient and, for me, revolutionary.

Nevertheless, like we all know, technology and the birth of Web 2.0 has stimulated exponential growth for web programmers and developers alike. Just its environment has allowed no name individuals to spring up as multi-millionaire celebrities at what seems to have been an overnight phenomenon.

Need proof?

I can point to many but just look to the creators of Angry Birds.

Just yesterday Mashable reported that Angry Birds hit over 42 million free and paid downloads with more than 25% of those downloads being paid! I think someone’s nest will be merry for Christmas! :-)

In the social web browsing arena, a young startup called RockMelt has sprung to the scene … and I’m loving it!

RockMelt Beta

Instead of writing ad nauseum about all of its features, allow Toby from RockMelt do the honors:

Even though it’s currently in beta, you should be able to snag an invite to all its glory by visiting RockMelt.com.

And, once your invitation has been accepted, RockMelt gives you six invites to share with friends and family.

So, what are you waiting for? If you’re looking to experience the web in a whole new way, then check out RockMelt today! I think you’ll be glad you did.

Question: Are you already using RockMelt? If so, how do you like it?
