How to Run a Chiropractic Practice for Under $1000

Yeah, I know. That’s a bold title.

But in today’s economy, many chiropractors are looking for inexpensive ways to run and manage their chiropractic practices.

Today’s article doesn’t address the business model but rather the technology.

If you’re looking for an extremely efficient system, then I recommend AMC’s program for chiropractors already in practice or AMC’s Right Start program for student chiropractors.

Nevertheless, if I were just graduating from chiropractic college or starting a new practice, here’s what I would use.

How to Schedule Your Chiropractic Blog Post For Later

One of the nicest features about WordPress is its easy-to-use dashboard. For many first time users, the intimidation of web publishing is quickly diminished once they see how similar things look to the typical text editor.

For example, if one remains inside the Visual Editor, toolbar icons are similar to the ones found inside Microsoft Word.

To align text, images, or videos, one simply selects what needs to be edited, clicks on the center icon, and voilà! … the changes are applied.

However, other aspects of the dashboard’s functionality are either found through additional study or by happenstance as one rummages around.

How to Give Chiropractic Assistants Access to Your Chiropractic Blog

Let’s face it … running a chiropractic practice takes finesse, focus, and fortitude. Unlike medical doctors, chiropractors don’t have the luxury of plugging into a system that’s already been created for them. Instead, we have to spread our entrepreneurial wings and learn how to fly ourselves.

For many, that’s not a bad thing. I’d much rather be an entrepreneur that delivers true healthcare instead of a technician that delivers sickness care. We, as chiropractors, have the best of both worlds handed to us upon graduation — the ability to get sick people well and to generate a lucrative income from our service.

Nevertheless, an efficient system built within the right business model is still a must. It’s the foundation that supports the practice both now and into the future — and, we all know how valuable that is during this turbulent era of healthcare!

5 Ways User-Generated Content Can Grow Your Chiropractic Practice

Maintaining a chiropractic blog is one of the smartest things you can do to get your chiropractic message out to the masses both inexpensively and efficiently. By writing content that connects and engages your target audience, you have a greater chance of winning their business once they see that you’re committed to meeting their wants, needs, and desires.

However, maintaining a chiropractic blog also takes a great deal of work. Even though today’s blogging software makes things easier than ever before, chiropractors still need to know how to select proper keywords for their niche while incorporating them strategically through their content.

Do you know what motivates you as an individual? What about as a chiropractor? Or, as an entrepreneur?

What about your chiropractic assistants? Do you know what motivates them?

Many of us have been trained to motivate people by rewarding them monetarily. However, as this short video presented by Daniel Pink, author of Drive, points out, that doesn’t always work as we expect.

Matter of fact, this cleverly done video ingeniously and creatively argues the surprising truth about what motivates us. Watch and allow your paradigm to shift.

How to Install Twitter’s New Tweet Button on Your Chiropractic Blog

One of the best ways to generate traffic back to your chiropractic blog is through Twitter. By automatically feeding new blog posts into Twitter each time they’re published, followers can stay up-to-date when fresh content is available.

Additionally, tools like HootSuite and MarketMeTweet make it easy to automate tweets on a predetermined schedule. By doing so, chiropractors can concentrate on treating patients instead of updating their status.

Personally, I use both. But, if I had to choose between the two, I’d go with MarketMeTweet. It’s intuitive, easy to use, and allows me to brand myself instead of someone else.

4 Truths Every Chiropractor Should Know About Social Media Marketing

fourOver this past weekend, I had the wonderful privilege of speaking to a fairly large group of both chiropractors and chiropractic assistants in Atlanta, Georgia.

As always when I address this crowd, the audience was not only a pleasure to speak to but the presentation was well received. For that, I’m forever grateful!

Obviously, my focus was on how to use blogs and social media networks to help grow their chiropractic practices. However, during the first part of my presentation, I spent a considerable amount of time discussing the four truths every chiropractor should know about social media marketing.

My purpose — to help chiropractors understand that it takes patience, time, and perseverance to build their presence online.

You see, without a proper understanding of these four truths, one can make the wrong assumption that social media marketing doesn’t work. If that occurs, it can derail any legitimate attempts at building a successful brand online.

Even though my presentation was over two hours and covered other topics besides these four truths, I decided to create a screencast for all of my Next Generation Chiropractor readers which focused on the aforementioned exclusively.
