How Chiropractors Can Get Started in Social Media

Get StartedAt one time, a phone book’s yellow pages were the best place for consumers to find the services they needed, and that meant those pages were also the best place for professionals to reach prospective clients.

But in the modern world, search engines like Google and Bing give customers much more access to the information and solutions they need. Chiropractors who limit their marketing efforts to print media may simply never reach the prospects who could benefit the most from their services.

Chiropractors in particular can benefit from using social media because it can help them reach customers who know they have a problem but don’t know that chiropractic care can help.

Chiropractic Apps For Chiropractors

Chiropractic AppsHave you noticed how insanely quiet it’s been here at Next Generation Chiropractor?

Kind of weird, huh?

I agree!

But truth be told I’ve been extremely busy on several fronts.

For starters, I’ve been helping AMC move more aggressively into the social sharing space, I attended the premier international Content Marketing World event held September 6-8 in Cleveland, Ohio, and have been busy preparing for the launch of two new websites.

Can Your Chiropractic Twitter Campaign Do This?

TwitterI just stumbled upon a brilliant Twitter campaign by TurkCell, a Turkish telecom company, who was trying to gain brand awareness as well as get the word out quickly about one of their new products.

The campaign was ran entirely on Twitter using the hashtag #Tuckcelltweet and revolved around a series of games that used Post-it ® Notes.

The entire campaign generated a staggering 56,000 tweets over 3 days and reached approximately 3.6 million people via Twitter.

As I watched the following video, I couldn’t help to wonder — what campaigns could chiropractors create that’d generate similar results? All it’d take is some serious brainstorming mixed with a ton of creativity.

Are you up for the challenge?

Chiro Tweets Puts Twitter On Auto-Pilot

Chiropractic TweetsIn the last issue of My Tuesday Tip, I asked chiropractors how successfully they were managing their social media presence. Surprisingly, an overwhelming majority replied that they weren’t.

I then asked if a service was available to manage their social media stream for them, how interested would they be to utilize it. Once again, a large number said they’d be very interested.

So, to help meet the wants, needs, and desires of my email subscribers, I launched Chiro Tweets this past Monday.

What is Chiro Tweets?

11 Ways Chiropractors Can Build a Stronger Web Presence

Strong Web PresenceBack in February, Google spanked quite a few prominent websites across the U.S. with its new “search quality” algorithm code-named Panda. Designed to eradicate content farms, Google went after sites that consistently publish shabbily produced, keyword-loaded content.

The biggest losers were sites like blippr.com, associatedcontent.com, articlebase.com, mahalo.com, and ezinearticles.com to name a few.

To show you how powerful Google is regarding e-commerce and how one of their algorithmic changes can wreck havoc on businesses who hold high search rankings but try to ignore Google’s rules, consider Mahalo. After Panda was released, Mahalo saw a 87.3% drop in its Organic Performance Index and had to eliminate 10% of its workforce shortly after the change.

With that being the case, chiropractors need to pay attention to the quality of their content no matter where it is being published. For starters, focus on producing great content. Remember, you need to think like a publisher not a marketer when writing your articles.

So, what makes for good content in Google’s eyes?

How To Automate Your Chiropractic Tweets

Twitter RobotIt’s been quite sometime since I’ve published a Screencast Saturdays video. But today I decided to feature one on how I use MarketMeSuite 3 to automate my Twitter timelines among the majority of my Twitter accounts.

Before you jump into today’s video, make sure you familiarize yourself on how MarketMeSuite 3 will change Internet marketing for chiropractors. It’ll give you a good primer for what I’m focusing on today.

For many chiropractors, Twitter is as foreign as practicing allopathic medicine. Add on top of that the confusion chiropractors face when trying to figure out how to automate, streamline, and make efficient use of their time when using this powerful social media network.

How to Sign Your Chiropractic Practice Up With Twitter

Twitter Sign UpIt’s hard to believe but many chiropractors still haven’t taken the plunge in the Twitter stream yet. I’m sure their reasons range as broad as the number of chiropractic techniques.

Regardless, Twitter is an incredibly powerful marketing tool. And, once embraced, can provide ample traffic to one’s chiropractic website if setup and used correctly.

But, for those new to social media, first understand that social media networks are tools to be used. Blogs and websites are assets to be owned and grown.

So, in regard to Twitter, Wikipedia gives the following summary:

Twitter Basics for Chiropractors: It’s Not About You!

TwitterI opened my first Twitter account on May 1, 2008. In Twitter years, that’s a long time ago!

But, as of this writing, I now have 12 Twitter accounts that serve various purposes.

For example, I have one for this blog, @NextGenChiro, one for my web design company, @ChiroWebDesigns, one for my membership site for beginning chiropractic bloggers, @BloggingChiros, et cetera.

Now I know what some of you are thinking … where do I find time to sit around and manage twelve Twitter accounts on any given day?

Truth be known, I don’t.

9 Steps Toward Achieving Internet Marketing Success for Chiropractors

Success or FailureTo kick off 2011, instead of reminding chiropractors about setting goals and writing out their vision for the New Year, I thought many would appreciate a simple guideline that they can follow for optimal Internet marketing success.

But, before I walk you through the steps, please understand that Internet marketing isn’t a silver bullet. It takes time, discipline, and commitment to see significant results.

In other words, it’s no different than anything else worth achieving. You must persevere to gain the prize. Perseverance surrounded by correct business principles wins every time regardless if you’re using them on or offline.
