YouTube Basics for Chiropractors

YouTube Basics for ChiropractorsEven though YouTube is just one of many social networks that chiropractors can use, those that don’t use it are really missing out. It not only can help chiropractors spread their message but also market their practices without affecting their budgets.

Plus, since it’s the second largest search engine next to Google, innovative chiropractors can leverage its traffic to help drive leads back to their sites.

But if you’re new to YouTube, make sure you spend some time getting familiar with the basics. Video is different than text, or even audio for that matter. So spend some time learning the platform so that you’ll achieve results quicker right out of the gate.

11 Google Plus Videos For The Beginner

Google PlusYesterday Google launched their Google Plus Project. After taking the tour, I’m extremely impressed and believe that they finally got it right when it comes to social media.

Matter of fact, I believe they’re more prepared to compete with Facebook this go around than they were in times past. If all goes as expected, I think they’ll easily propel past Facebook as the #1 social media network in the world.

But, if you’re still waiting for a coveted invite, takes some time to peruse the following videos. They’ll set the stage for things to come.

The second largest search engine on the Internet today is YouTube.

You may be thinking YouTube? Really?

Yes, YouTube. Most people don’t think of it as a search engine but it is — and a rather unique one at that. Instead of returning text-based content obviously it returns video content.

A Social Network Christmas

This video is an artistic take on how the story of the nativity might have read had a social network existed at the time of Jesus’s birth. Follow this historical period as it unfolds as a digital narrative. This vignette is great for highlighting the truths and circumstances of our Savior’s birth in a fresh, unique way.

Like the song? O Come Emmanuel, by Folk Angel, is available for free when you purchase and download the video from IgniterMedia.com.

Can you tell I’m getting stoked for Christmas? :-)

Why Easy Video Player Should Be Your Choice For Online Video Marketing

Ever since HTML5 was announced, I’ve been searching for an easy way to incorporate its technology into both Next Generation Chiropractor as well as other sites I own and operate.

Since HTML5 will be the standard framework that all websites are built in, it only makes since to start moving my sites into compliance. By doing so, I can not only take advantage of its powerful features but also offer compatible content for the latest smartphones and mobile devices like the iPhone and iPad.

One of my challenges has been finding a video player that is easy to use but also intuitive. I’ve experimented with several variations but have ultimately been disappointed with their lack of marketing features — until now! :-)

Enter Easy Video Player 2.0.

7 YouTube Tips Chiropractors Need to Know

It’s hard to believe that just over five years ago the founders of YouTube registered its domain name and began work on its site.

Now sitting at #3 on Alexa’s Top Sites list, YouTube today sees over 400 million visits worldwide on a monthly basis among its estimated 6 to 9 million channels.

But as a chiropractor, why should you care? More importantly, why should you care about YouTube marketing?

Eyejot Allows Chiropractors to Send Video eMail Without Using Tokbox

Yesterday TokBox announced that their highly utilized video messaging functionality would be removed from their provided services beginning mid-July. As stated by TokBox, what this means is that you will no longer be able to record a video message and send it to multiple people.

At first this made no sense to me since TokBox was founded upon making video communications easier for people through the tools they commonly use — like email.

But upon further investigation, it appears their mission has shifted to become an industry leader in video conferencing and virtual meeting services instead of more antiquated technology like email.

Using Think to Unclutter Your Desktop

thinkAs mentioned in an earlier post, beginning today I’ll be hosting a special video series titled Screencast Saturdays every Saturday.

The purpose of Screencast Saturdays is to give chiropractors short, bite-sized video tutorials on the basics of blogging and social media networking. The length of these tutorials will be no longer than three minutes.

However, if you’re looking for longer, more in-depth videos, then check out Blogging Chiros.

In today’s screencast, I’ll feature a neat little program called Think by Freeverse. Its purpose is to help unclutter your desktop so that you can focus on the task at hand.

How to Bring Your Chiropractic Patient Education into the 21st Century

With technology advancing at such a blistering pace, it sometimes seems impossible to keep up. From software updates to social media networks, a day doesn’t go by where innovation rests.

As an entrepreneur, one of the keys to success in this new digital world is to not only be cognizant of change but also be willing to adapt, test and then implement when the technology makes your life more efficient and effective.

One of the areas I believe chiropractors have either ignored or missed is video conferencing. Companies like Skype, WebEx, and ooVoo make it insanely simple to connect with patients in a new and fresh way.

5 Examples of Videos that Went Viral Thanks to YouTube

One of my goals for 2010 is to schedule more rest and relaxation. Not because I’m lazy and looking for the easy way out but rather the opposite — I tend to work excessively.

Now, don’t get me wrong, being melancholy is great! But, if I didn’t have a sanguine wife to help balance my personality I’m not quite sure how I’d still have my sanity.

You see, melancholies are perfectionists. And, it’s in our nature to neglect rest. So, as we are trying to create our perfect worlds, if anything gets out of place, we spend an insane amount of time trying to reorganize it.

So, today I decided to stop and smell the roses.

Instead of writing a serious post on blogs, social media and content marketing, I thought just for fun I’d share with you five videos that went viral via YouTube.
