Updated September 7, 2017 — Whether you’re new to Next Generation Chiropractor or have been with me since the beginning, you’ll quickly understand that a blog should be the hub of all your online activities — there simply isn’t a more powerful online platform available to chiropractors than a blog to effortlessly, efficiently and effectively promote their products and services.
With that said, building a blog requires a great deal of work, passion and foresight.
In other words, you can’t expect to launch a blog and see results overnight. It takes time to develop your voice, your brand, your community and your content.
However, if done correctly, your business can be richly rewarded by Raving Fans well into the future.
Two Powerful Principles
If you don’t focus on those two principles, you’ll never taste success from your chiropractic blog.
Having the Proper Framework
Outside of those two principles, you also need to make sure your chiropractic blog is built within the proper framework.
In other words, the theme you choose for your chiropractic blog is absolutely vital.
Now, I understand that chiropractors can download thousands of free themes from WordPress until they’re blue in the face.
However, the question is can they take that theme and quickly publish content that consistently lands them on the first page of Google?
I think not.
But you’ll have a much greater chance if you are using the Genesis Framework.
As their site states, “the Genesis Framework empowers you to quickly and easily build incredible websites with WordPress. Whether you’re a novice or advanced developer, Genesis provides the secure and search-engine-optimized foundation that takes WordPress to places you never thought it could go.”
What Theme are YOU Using?
So, your first line of business — purchase the Genesis Framework and choose one of their child themes if you’re serious about being found. All of my sites are built in this framework as well as my clients’ sites and it has served us well!
For OPTIMAL Results, Pimp Your Blog Out With This!
Outside of your blog’s theme, there are other tools available to win the search engine optimization war. One that I wouldn’t be without is a plugin called Yoast SEO.
As the creators of Yoast state, it’s the “#1 WordPress SEO plugin in the world”. If you need further proof, hop on over to the WordPress Plugin Repository and see for yourself. It has over 5+ million active installs!
While you’re there, if you do choose to install it (and you should!), they provide very detailed instructions on how it works. Their support is excellent and if you need additional functionality above what the free version offers, you can get Yoast SEO Premium for around $89 per year per site.
Last but certainly not least…
I highly recommend that you read through Authority Hacker’s SEO Copywriting guide. It’ll teach you how to become an absolute SEO copywriting beast. Trust me, it’s well worth the read!
