As I consult chiropractors around the globe on using blogs and social media to market their chiropractic practices, certain basic but legitimate questions keep coming up.
So, during last week’s hiatus from blogging to celebrate one year of Next Generation Chiropractor, I wrote out answers to these questions to help shed the light on why chiropractic blogs should be chiropractors’ new patient internet marketing tool of choice.
What evolved from that brainstorming session was the series you’re about to partake.
Over the next several weeks, I’ll clearly show chiropractors why a chiropractic blog is the most powerful Internet marketing tool they currently have at their disposal.
Additionally, once the series is complete, it’ll provide an online resource for chiropractors to turn to without me having to regurgitate the same answers ad nauseam. That’s what I call a win-win scenario! 😉
But, before I delve into the subject matter, allow me to set the stage for the month of April.
Subscribe to My Podcast
First of all, please remember that Next Generation Chiropractor now has a podcast. As mentioned in the first episode, it’ll serve two purposes:
- 1. To provide chiropractors with an accompanying audio version of certain blog posts so that they can listen to the content on-the-go.
- 2. To provide chiropractors with timely audible updates occurring within both the blogosphere and social media networks.
You can subscribe to the podcast for free through Apple’s iTunes by clicking on the purple iPod Nano found in the left sidebar or by simply clicking HERE.
After downloading and listening to the first episode, please consider writing a review. Apple’s iTunes works much like DIGG — the more reviews, whether positive or negative, the higher it gets pushed up in its designated category.
So, I’d GREATLY appreciate your review so that the message of Next Generation Chiropractor can reach more chiropractors over time.
Spread the Word
Secondly, the entire month of April will be focused on this series.
Consequently, no additional blog posts will be featured except for a special series that I’ll outline shortly.
To be honest, I can’t think of a better topic that is more relevant and valuable to both my current and future readers than what I’m about to unleash.
Therefore, if you have colleagues that are unaware of Next Generation Chiropractor, I highly recommend that you point them this way.
In return, you can be assured that they’ll receive valuable information that’ll challenge their current marketing strategies as well as their paradigms.
New Video Series Begins This Saturday
Lastly, in addition to this series, I’m kicking off an entirely new series titled Screencast Saturdays.
The purpose of Screencast Saturdays is to give chiropractors short, bite-sized video tutorials on the basics of blogging and social media networking.
The length of these tutorials will be no longer than three minutes. And, you guessed it, they’ll be published every Saturday.
However, if you’re looking for longer, more in-depth videos, then check out Blogging Chiros.
Even though registration just reopened this past Thursday, April 1st, seats are still available for the second class. If you’ve been putting membership off, now’s the time to join.
If you need more information about this members-only program, check out Blogging Chiros Membership Site: A Video Walk-through.
So, now that the agenda has been set for April, allow me to leave you with a couple of book recommendations that’ll reinforce what I’m about to cover. If you don’t have either one of these, I HIGHLY recommend that you purchase a copy for both future reference and study.
They are as follows:
- 1. Get Content Get Customers: Turn Prospects into Buyers with Content Marketing by Joe Pulizzi and Newt Barrett
- 2. Six Pixels of Separation: Everyone Is Connected. Connect Your Business to Everyone. by Mitch Joel
Oh, one last thing …
THANK YOU for being a loyal reader of this blog!
Without you, it wouldn’t exist.
I’m looking forward to this April series you got lined up Patrick. The world is on the internet so if a chiropractor isn’t on the web talking to patients their missing a big part of the world I think.
UK Gary :: Agreed! If you’re not online, you’re not being found.
However, anyone can have a website. The key is to develop one that consistently drives quality traffic back to the site so that the chiropractor has a greater chance of converting prospect to patient.
Thanks for dropping by!
Dr. MacNamara,
I am looking forward to the blog post series and Saturday videos. I completely agree that a blog is great, inexpensive way to tell the story about chiropractic and all of its benefits. Hopefully with your help, chiropractors will understand what a powerful marketing tool blogging is.
Todd P. Sullivan, DC
Dr. Sullivan :: It should be a good one. However, I’ve got my work cut out for me! It’ll be a challenge but one that I’ve very excited to tackle.
Likewise, I’m really excited about Screencast Saturdays. It should give chiropractors enough information to propel their blogs forward without having to invest in a Webmaster.
At any case, I appreciate your enthusiasm!
